This is a proposed IT Park at Thane spread over a 5 acre property and comprising of approximately 850,000 square feet total built up area. The design visualized by Aedas Architects comprises Structural glazing, skylight, entrance canopy and shop front glazing. The facade incorporates a flying buttress wall of glass that creates a relief from the visual mass of the building. The building comprises of 2 independent blocks connected by the sky terraces located at every two floors which create a visual appeal of openness and light. The steel sub structure supporting the glass which is cantilevered 9 m above the terrace floor slab; is designed by us and also incorporates the provision for the building maintenance unit. This cantilevered glass serves the dual purpose of enhancing the visual appeal and to distract from the chiller plants which are located on the terrace floor.
